The well balanced SS 300 is a board designed to deliver compression and encryption via its 2 engines. A dedicated engine runs compression and the second dedicated engine runs encryption algorithms, thus achieving a tuned backup. The Data is compressed and encrypted in real time. The card implements the AES algorithm in ECB mode with a 128 bit block size and variable key size changeable on a per block basis. Key sizes supported are 128 and 256-bit. A user can store upto 16 such keys at one time in the card.

The card works across the x86 Intel platforms for both the 32 bit and 64 bit architectures. It seamlessly integrates with most of the popular backup software in the market today. It works across most of the popular Linux platforms and Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP.

Ideally used for any disk based backup appliance or tape encryption, the SS 300 peaks at 75 MB/sec during compression and 90 MB/sec during decompression. Simultaneously, it delivers 85 MB/sec during a 128 bit encryption in real time.
