The SC 300 has 2 compression engines that work in tandem. A faster bus interface helps avoid system level bottlenecks. The SC 300 is ideal for real time disk-to-disk backup systems aimed at Gigabit networks. The 2 dedicated compression engines allow faster backup and offload redundant processor cycles.

The card uses the 'deflate' algorithm and can be used for any heavy duty compression required during backup. The card can achieve upto 150 MB/sec during compression and 180 MB/sec during de compression.

The card works across the x86 Intel platforms for both the 32 bit and 64 bit architectures. It seamlessly integrates with most of the popular backup software in the market today. It has been tested across most of the popular Linux platforms and Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP.
