Indra announces hardware acceleration for Retrospect 7.5
San Jose, CA - April 20, 2007

Indra Networks announces immediate availability of bundle kits consisting of EMC's Retrospect 7.5 software and Indra Networks' hardware acceleration technology. Retrospect 7.5 now contains support for Indra Networks' compression and encryption acceleration technology. This technology does the heavy lifting associated with compression and encryption processing, leaving the host processor free for all the other processing required during network backup. This enables IT departments to complete their data backup faster and also secure their critical data to meet compliance requirements.

Indra Networks is offering two bundles with Retrospect. The first is Retrospect 7.5 Multi Server (full version) with StorSecure 300, which accelerates both compression and encryption in a single product. This bundle is ideal for customers who want to encrypt their tape backups from multiple servers.

The second bundle comprises Retrospect 7.5 Multi Server (full version) and StorCompress 300. StorCompress 300 accelerates only compression, but it has two compression engines, resulting in double the throughput. This bundle is ideally suited for disk-to-disk backup of a large number of servers, desktops and laptops. With StorCompress 300, the data can be compressed before it is written to the disk target, thus saving space and increasing backup performance.

Thanks to an OEM arrangement with EMC, Indra Networks can offer these bundles at an amazing low price of $1449. As a further incentive, Indra Networks is offering a $400 discount to customers purchasing this kit by June 30th, 2007.
